Aftercare

Aftercare,in writing.

Written aftercare guidance is given at each appointment, specific to the treatment performed. This page summarises the general principles for every treatment so you can read them again at home. It does not replace the guidance you were given.

Written guidance and direct support during the days that matter most. 05 / Aftercare

Across most treatments

Themes that recur in the written guidance. Specifics differ by treatment, and the guidance you were given takes precedence.

  • Daily broad-spectrum sun protection, reapplied through the day where the treatment page asks for it
  • Gentle, simple skincare for the first day or two: cleanser, hydration and, where advised, a balm
  • No active ingredients or exfoliation until the treatment page or your written guidance says so
  • Avoid heat, saunas, sweating, swimming and direct sun while the skin settles
  • Do not pick, squeeze or peel; flaking and settling are part of the process

Skin

Texture, tone, congestion and scarring, approached in stages.

Microneedling

Redness for 24 – 48 hours; makeup-free for one day

  • Keep the skin clean and simple for 48 hours: gentle cleanser, hydrating serum, balm
  • No makeup for 24 hours; no actives for 5–7 days
  • Avoid heat, sweating, swimming and direct sun for 48–72 hours
  • Broad-spectrum sun protection every morning from day two

Chemical Peels

Light flaking for 3 – 5 days depending on peel depth

  • Expect light flaking from day 2 to day 5 depending on depth; do not pick or peel it
  • Gentle cleanser, moisturiser and daily sun protection only
  • No actives, exfoliation, heat or swimming until flaking has finished

Mild redness and sensitivity for 2 – 3 days

  • Contact Sarah rather than adding new products on your own

Pigmentation Care

  • Daily sun protection

Carbon Peel

None; mild warmth for a few hours

  • Gentle skincare and daily sun protection
  • Avoid exfoliants and heat for 48 hours

Acne Treatment

Mild redness or dryness for 1 – 2 days

  • Keep the routine simple and consistent; changing several products at once makes the cause of a flare impossible to read
  • No picking or squeezing between visits
  • Daily broad-spectrum sun protection, which is what limits the marks
  • Expect the plan to be adjusted rather than repeated identically

Facial aesthetics

Resurfacing and hydration rituals with little or no downtime.

Hydrafacial

None; return to your day immediately

  • Skin can be left bare; keep it simple for 24 hours
  • Daily sun protection

Dermaplaning

No downtime; the area may feel cold, numb or tender for a few days

When to get in touch.

  • If anything concerns you after a treatment, message Sarah on WhatsApp rather than adding new products on your own.
  • Prolonged or unusual pain, or anything that does not settle as described on the treatment page, should be reported so it can be reviewed.
